Health In A Box was founded by Dr. Elaine Chin, MD, MBA, a physician with 30 years in precision and preventive medicine, and among the first in the world to bring consumer genetics to patients at scale.
The moment that changed everything
Early in my career, I walked into a nursing home and saw the end result of a system that waits too long to act.
Metabolic health, hormone balance, and nutrient optimization. These are the upstream drivers that influence energy, recovery, and long-term resilience from acute and chronic disease. When you take care of these upstream systems, your organs take care of themselves.
I decided then that I would spend my career building the opposite: structured, measurable prevention that reaches people before disease does.
