The Science of Metabolism

Good metabolic health is not just being “normal” in weight. New research shows that an alarmingly low number (1 in 8) of adults achieving optimal metabolic health.

Metabolic Health is defined as having ideal levels of blood sugar, triglycerides, high-density lipoprotein (HDL) cholesterol, blood pressure, and waist circumference, without using medications. These factors directly relate to a person’s risk for heart disease, diabetes, and stroke.


Each diagnostic test within a grouping addresses specific needs but can certainly be combined to create your own customized assessment. We recommend that you begin with an understanding of your lifestyle genetic predispositions because it provides deeper insights into your blood marker values. 

For example, if your cholesterol or sugar numbers are high, knowing if you are prone by inherited traits will determine how much lifestyle can change these numbers.
